The Cold Chain Carrier of the Year Award selects a carrier each year that provides Chiquita with exemplary temperature-controlled carrier services. The Chiquita Cold Chain Carrier of the Year Award is awarded based on performance in temperature-controlled services and takes into account number of shipments between August 2010 and July 2011 and the efficiency of refrigerated loads. The award takes into account every load shipped and selects the best cold chain performance for raw and fresh products.
