“The additional ten Sprinters since July 2012 will improve our capability to deliver vehicles at short notice throughout the UK. To ensure our customers have reliable temperature control, we have now moved exclusively to Hubbard for all of our vehicles managed environment  requirements.

“The Hubbard Total Care package ensures that emergency repairs to vehicles while on hire are carried out with minimal down-time around the clock, 365 days a year”. He continues, “This level of service is essential for our specialist customers who may be transporting high value, small-volume medicines for cancer care, tissue samples or even, as recently, blood samples from Olympic athletes and Premiership footballers.

Acrobat’s Sprinter vans are a mixture of short, medium and long wheelbase with heavy duty plug door on the nearside, 75mm insulation and chequer-plate protection throughout.  All vehicles can be rented with a removable mid-bulkhead linked to a secondary Hubbard controller in the cab.

Selected vehicles also have a diesel heater in the rear compartment to enable loads of +5C and +20C to be carried at the same time.  Temperature monitoring is provided by a Transcan recorder connected to Seveneye satellite tracking.

The Hubbard 460AEL units are fitted with a 16amp single phase electric standby with low noise scroll compressors. The reverse cycle mode operates automatically when the desired load temperature is higher than the outside air temperature, typically in winter.
