London, UK: Asda and Nestlé were among the winners at IGD’s prestigious Food Industry Awards honouring both companies for engineering significant change in their supply chains.
Asda won the Ian MacLaurin award for Supply Chain Excellence with a four-year initiative that has resulted in 30m miles being removed from the road and productivity savings of £130m.
Nestlé in partnership with Eddie Stobart won the ECR Award for Sustainable Distribution. The two companies have formed a partnership to field test three cutting-edge Volvo methane/diesel dual fuel trucks in real life work scenarios.
