Carson, CA, US: Yusen Logistics has secured a contract renewal with AstraZeneca to distribute prescription drugs from its international factories and suppliers.
It includes the temperature-controlled distribution of over 200,000 pallets of product each year from manufacturing plants and third party manufacturers in Europe as well as Australia, India, Japan, Puerto Rico and the US.
The two companies have been working together since 2007 when Yusen Logistics was appointed to work with AstraZeneca on the creation of a “lean supply chain”. Before that AstraZeneca’s manufacturing plants operated independently and managed their own distribution.
