Lyon, France: US healthcare giant Baxter has commissioned Gazeley to build a new temperature-controlled distribution warehouse just outside Lyon, France.
The warehouse, for products between 2 and 8°C will be located on the Gaulnes ZAC industrial park in Jonage. Baxter has secured a nine-year lease, and hopes the new facility will help improve the delivery of its products, which are manufactured in Europe at sites in Austria, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain and Ireland.
Completion of the warehouse is expected in October 2011 and it is schedule to be operational early in 2012.
The warehouse uses solar panels supplement heating and power requirements.
