Biggest small fleet at the CV Show

Breaston, Derbyshire, UK:  The biggest fleet on display at the CV Show next week (9-11 April) is Search Impex‘s 1/50 scale models.

Model trucks are a great way for transport companies to market themselves and celebrate big events such as an anniversary, says Jim Newsome at Search Impex.

“In 2012, we produced a number of model vehicles to help companies celebrate anniversaries, including Aberdeen-based Taylors Industrial Services, Northern Ireland’s R Barkley & Sons and Orkney-based removals specialist McAdie & Reeve.”

Search Impex has released a 1:50 scale Scania Highline (6x2) with 3 axle, Thermo King refrigerated trailer, customised in the striking livery of Grimsby-based Quayside Distribution

“This trend sees no sign of abating in 2013,” Newsome says.

”We’re also working on the release of a 1:50 scale Daf XF105 Super Space (6×2) with 3 axle, refrigerated trailer, customised in the well known livery of Scottish operator, Shetland Transport.  The models are being commissioned to coincide with the Shetland Transport’s 30th anniversary.”

Aspray24, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, has asked Search Impex to produce a 1:50 scale Daf CF (4×2) day cab tractor unit with 3 axle, curtain trailer.
Stuart Laight, managing director, Aspray Transport 24, says: “I first used Search Impex for a run of models in 2007. Their attention to detail was, and still is, a strong factor as to why the company stands out”

“They take time to get the right paint colours and notice the details of the different trucks we use. Not only that, the build quality is superb.”

“We use the models as PR tools, as we give them to our customers and to key suppliers, while some we have offered as charity prizes and awards for staff. The models are timeless and when people receive them, they react with delight.”

“I still see the models on display in offices and reception areas; you just don’t get that with mugs and paperweights, which are often replaced.”
