Peterborough, UK: Chiltern Cold Storage Group is using a transport management system to cut fuel bills and improve work flows.
The new software, called Haulier Enterprise, has been developed by technology specialist Proteo. Paul Jackson, managing director of Chiltern Cold Storage, says: “It’s a one stop solution that satisfies all of our requirements.”
“The system will provide us with detailed online tracking of vehicles and loads, reports on driver and vehicle performance as well as vital business information to help us maintain our controls and efficiencies.”
Alistair Atkinson, sales director at Proteo, said: “Our solution will enable Chiltern Cold Storage to monitor fuel consumption rates and make informed decisions about vehicle load fill, reducing empty running.”
