Chiltern takes Euroway FleetSure maintenance package

Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, UK: Chiltern Cold Storage has signed a FleetSure fleet maintenance deal with Euroway Group for the repair and maintenance of seven new Scania tractor units for its temperature controlled distribution fleet.

Chiltern Cold Storage acquired the tractor units for a four-year operational period. As Paul Jackson, managing director, Chiltern Cold Storage says: “These seven new Scania tractor units were taken to cover a specific distribution contract that we are working on and we approached Euroway to provide us with a fixed price repair and maintenance agreement that suited this particular contract. In essence, by working with Euroway and their FleetSure programme, this allows us to plan our operational cost structure for the full duration of the distribution contract.”

The four-year FleetSure deal with Euroway covers six Scania R445 Highline 6×2 tractor units and one ScaniaR445 Topline 6×2 tractor unit operating out of the main Chiltern Cold Storage warehouse facility in Peterborough.

Fixing fleet costs to an affordable and budgetary straight-line basis, while maintaining the flexibility of a commercial vehicle fleet, is the cornerstone of FleetSure services  available the company says.

Geoff Howard from Euroway says, “With the FleetSure programme, we provide a fully comprehensive range of services across the whole fleet management spectrum whilst being completely independent thus allowing us to make the right choices on service provision every time and not automatically forced down a particular regional OEM dealership. For Chiltern Cold Storage we put together a fleet maintenance solution that was fully tailored to meet their contract and operational requirements.”
