Oswestry, UK: Chilled storage and distribution firm Cold Move has selected Toyota Material Handling to provide BT Reflex reach trucks and BT Levio powered pallet trucks for its warehousing.
Cold Move operates from three depots in the North West and has 48,000 pallet spaces at its frozen warehouse, blast freezing and specialist distribution operation.
Logistics Manager reports that the BT Reflex reach trucks are fitted with cold store cabs that are fully insulated while the BT Levio ride-on powered pallet trucks have a platform and fixed backrest.
Cold Move has also introduced a new Toyota battery change tugger, which is designed to enable quick battery changing with minimal downtime and risk to operatives during the process.
Cold Move is using high frequency chargers, which help reduce draw on electricity, reduce watering and improve carbon footprint.
