DBC Foodservice fleet upgrade

Welwyn Garden City, UK: DBC Foodservice has received the first of 30 Daf LF55 220s rigid trucks as part of its fleet upgrade. The trucks are fitted with Frigoblock electric twin evaporator refrigeration systems. The vehicles handle wholesale food deliveries to hotels and restaurants in the UK.

Seveneye Tracking has also been installed to increase fuel efficiency and alert customers to delivery times.

The first vehicles are in DBC’s new livery showing representative DBC products such as breakfast, pasta or dessert. The concept will be extended to the entire fleet as the roll-out continues.

Chris Horne, managing director of DBC Foodservice, says: “DBC has taken delivery of these 30 state-of-the-art vehicles as part of a rolling programme to ensure our fleet continues to use the latest transport solutions for food delivery.

“Traditionally our vehicles carried the distinctive DBC logo in striking red on white, but we wanted to add delicious product imagery to convey precisely what we as a company are about – the supply and delivery of first class food to the industry,” he said.
