DHL to build a new logistics centre at Brussels

Brussels, Belgium: DHL Global Forwarding has started building a new €27m logistics centre at Brussels Airport: it will include a 1,750sq metre temperature-controlled area to meet the needs of life science and other customers, according to globalairportcities.com.

DHL Global Forwarding has been based in Brucargo since the cargo area was developed in 1980, and the €27m investment aims to unite all DHL’s Belgium airfreight activities under one roof.

Jean-Claude Delen, chief executive of DHL Global Forwarding BeNeLux and France, says: “Brussels Airport is our country’s second economic driver, providing 20,000 direct and 40,000 indirect jobs.”
