Lumlukka, Pathumthani, Thailand: Linfox, which provides logistics services in the Asia Pacific region, has introduced Thailand’s first dual temperature-controlled trucks and trailers to its fleet for Tesco Lotus.
James Allmand, country manager at Linfox says the new fleet provides efficiencies with greater carrying capacity, combining chilled and frozen goods and fitted with latest aerodynamic designs.
The fleet complements Tesco’s recently opened fresh distribution center at Lumlukka, Pathumthani, says Allmand.
Forty-one new Fuso rigid trucks with extended chassis provide greater carrying capacity.
The Lamberet multi-temperature truck bodies each contain twin compartments to service delivery of Tesco’s range of frozen and fresh produce to stores.
The freezer compartment is chilled to -25°C and the fresh food compartment to 4°C. Each vehicle has three evaporator units, two for the freezer compartment and one for the fresh.
The truck bodies are fitted with aerodynamic kits to reduce drag and fuel consumption.
