Exports boost for Oakland International

Redditch, Worcestershire, UK: Oakland International, a multi temperature warehousing and logistics provider, has seen export turnover increase by over 44% in the last financial year.

Export sales at the Midlands-based firm now account for over a fifth of it annual turnover, up 4% compared with 2009.

Dean Attwell, managing director of Oakland International says:  “We have invested heavily to ensure that we have the necessary language skills on site and the right offer to tempt overseas clients. “Our business development focus outside of the UK and Ireland over the last three years has been on Germany, France, Holland, Italy and Spain although we are currently considering extending this over the next 12 months to include China, Poland and Russia,’ he says.

Earlier this month David Hoey joined the company as director of human resources and purchasing.

Oakland has traded for 10 years providing distribution for food and consumer goods using ambient, chilled and frozen transportation.  It offers multi-temperature storage, picking and consignment consolidation from ain depots in Worcestershire, UK and Ireland’s County Meath.
