Guildford, Surrey, UK: Charlotte Russell, general manager, Gist has been appointed to the National Employer Board at the National Skills Academy Logistics.
The academy is a partnership between logistics companies, government and logistics training and skills development specialists and aim to help employers to develop solutions to address skills needs that are unique to the logistics industry, and to help to tackle many of the long-term problems that the sector faces in maintaining a skilled workforce and continued business success.
In this role, Charlotte will help to raise awareness and support employer- led training needs within the sector and advise on appropriate training interventions.
Charlotte has extensive experience and knowledge in logistics training. She was winner of the 2010 everywoman in Logistics and Transport Industry Trainer of the Year, based on her role in creating and developing Gist People Services, and has become instrumental in this training division becoming a successful, award-winning business.
