Enfield, UK: SecureSeal Systems, in partnership with European tracking technology company Frotcom International, is to launch a wireless trailer monitoring service.
SecureSeal Systems is to integrate its wireless RF trailer monitoring technology with the Portuguese company’s telematics in-cab system, to provide equipment for checking security and environment of goods in transit. SecureSeal Systems’ reusable security seal is used by retailers such as Walmart Brazil, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Massmart.
The new SecureRF range includes wireless temperature, door and security seal sensors. The first pilot of the combined technology is running in Portugal with supermarket group Sonae, an existing SecureSeal customer, monitoring the security seal and temperature of their trailers directly into the fleet’s Frotcom telematics in-cab system.
Frotcom’s chief executive officer, Valerio Marques, says: “This new partnership gives our customers the opportunity to monitor their security seal as well as other components of the trailer, directly with the Frotcom system, without the hassle of installation wiring.”

The partnership with SecureSeal Systems goes hand in hand with the launch of Frotcom UK, and makes the Frotcom telematics system the only one on the market providing a fully integrated RF monitoring service when using the advanced 868MHz RF equipment, SecureSeal Systems says.
