Whitchurch,Shropshire, UK: Grocontinental has recruited a new human resources chief who joins from food manufacturing giant Greencore Group.
Jill Jones will oversee the company’s HR function and will also be responsible for developing and implementing an internal communications strategy. She will also control Grocontinental’s training and development programme and implement new employee initiatives across the business.

Previously based at Greencore’s Minsterley site, formerly owned by Uniq Prepared Foods, Jones was the HR Manager leading a team in supporting almost 500 employees based at the site.
Grocontinental’s joint managing director Linda Grocott says: “Jill brings vast and relevant experience to Grocontinental from her role in a fast-paced and demanding food manufacturing business. We’re really looking forward to working with her to evolve our HR procedures and initiatives.
“Our staff numbers have grown considerably over recent years as our business has expanded and professionalising the HR function is critical to our future development plans.”
Also joining the HR Team is Gemma Molyneux as administrator. After leaving Manchester University, Gemma spent two years working for a legal firm in the city.
