High frequency chargers cut energy costs

Brierley Hill, West Midlands, UK: multi-temperatureĀ  warehousing and logistics business, Norish Foods has cut energy costs by 40% using high-frequency chargers for its electric forklift fleet.

HF trak air chargers, from Hoppecke, have cut battery charging time to six hours, meaning fewer batteries and chargers are required for the Flexi articulated forklift fleet at Norish Foods’ West Midlands cold store site.

Norish managing director, Norman Hatcliffe said: “The really great benefit of Hoppecke trak air is the 40% energy saving we achieved. It meant we were able to obtain payback on our investment in under 12 months as well as real long-term high power performance from our fleet of Flexi trucks.”
