Kögel re-names its panel factory

Burtenbach, Germany: Kögel‘s insulated sandwich-panel factory in Duingen, Lower Saxony, part of the Kögel group of companies since the end of 2011, has been re-named Kögel PurFerro GmbH & Co KG.

Three managing directors have been appointed to form the management of the company: Ralf Hirschfeld, the chief executive and managing director for production heads the company PurFerro, Thomas Eschey is responsible for technology, and Jürgen Steinbacher for the commercial interests of the company.

Kögel PurFerro produces sandwich panels for Kögel, Europe’s third largest manufacturer of truck trailers and for other vehicle manufacturers.

Kögel uses these polyurethane foam sandwich panels for its premium refrigerated box body vehicle, the Kögel Cool – PurFerro and for its premium dry freight box body, the Kögel Box – PurFerro.

The panels consist of CFC-free insulating special foam directly injected with a steel top layer coated with a hard PVC-film on the inside.  “The 45, 65, 85 and 125 millimetre thick sandwich panels from our own manufacturing facility guarantee Kögel consistently high quality without any delivery bottlenecks,” Kögel says
