Kool Pak westcoast expansion

Ontario CA, US: KoolPak, a temperature-controlled less-than-truck load transport service provider has opened terminal in Ontario California to provide transportat and logistics services to businesses in Califorinia and west coast.

The new facility includes temp-controlled distribution, logistics, warehousing and transport. Kool Pak earlier this year acquired Polar Express in British Columbia, “With our recent acquisition of Polar Express in British Columbia and now our expansion into southern California, we immediately open new lanes throughout the US and Canada to all west coast shippers,” says Steve Ness, chief executive and president.

Kool Pak’s Ontario site provides frozen, refrigerated and dry storage as well as consolidation capabilities in a temperature-controlled environment. California sales will be headed by Timothy (Tim) Layhee, business development manager.

“Food safety and carrier safety are both top priorities at Kool Pak,” Layhee says. “With our industry-leading cold chain management and focus on staying current with regulations, businesses can rely on our temperature-controlled transportation services from pick up to delivery.”

Joining Layhee as operations manager is Josh Eddins, who previously headed Kool Pak’s Kent, Washington facility.
