KoolPak and Polar Express expand temperature-controlled services in Canada

Portland, Oregon:  Polar Express Transportation’s newly expanded temperature-controlled facility opens on 29 October in Langley, BC, offering additional warehousing and scheduled deliveries in Canada as well as the US.

The Polar Express warehouse expansion offers 300,000 cubic feet for frozen, chilled and dry product storage and handling. Polar Express merged with KoolPak, which acquired the business in January ,and provide transport, storage and delivery of temperature-controlled less-than-truckload shipments in Canada and the US.

The combined transport and warehousing services ensure that temperature-sensitive products are maintained at their proper temperature through the cold chain, from pickup, to storage and delivery at destination with storage capacity of up to 1,000 pallets for frozen, chilled and dry product, the company says chief executive, says Steve Ness.

In addition to Langley, BC, KoolPak has temperature-controlled facilities in Washington, Oregon and southern California. “We also recently expanded our worry-free transcontinental LTL services out of Ontario, California to include Texas, Georgia, Florida, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York in addition to our coverage of the seven western states and Canada”, Ness says.
