Lindfield becomes CEO at Great Bear

Chester, UK: Glenn Lindfield has been appointed chief executive of Great Bear.

He was most recently senior vice president of Kuehne & Nagel’s North-West Europe Contract Logistics operation and previously held senior positions within ACR, Hays Logistics and Christian Salvesen.

He will take over management responsibility from David Williams and Colin McDavid, Great Bear’s founders, from the beginning of February.

The company has 30 locations in the UK with over 0.34 million sq metres of ambient, managed ambient and chilled space.  Customers include Sainsbury’s, Mars and Kraft Foods.

Williams and McDavid launched the business in 1994, and since then it is grown to turnover of £120m. They remain the company’s owners and will continue to be involved in the development of the business.
