Mumbai, India: Global clinical supply chain service provider Marken is continuing to expand its services in India, adding four additional branches to its Mumbai site to support the growing demand in clinical trial logistics. The expansion in New Delhi, Hyderabad, Pune and Bangalore will support the growing need for temperature-controlled logistics of sensitive drugs and cold chain specimens.
“The expansion of our operations in India enables Marken to better support our clients’ need for regional expertise and temperature controlled supply chain services,” said Wes Wheeler, Marken’s chief executive. “We have seen steady growth and demand of our specimen logistics, drug distribution and API supply chain services in India.”
Marken is currently developing a new purpose-built depot in Bangalore due to be complete by the end of 2012. The Bangalore depot will join Marken’s already operational Argentina, Mexico and Singapore depots offering the full range of temperature-controlled storage capabilities including: controlled ambient, refrigerated and frozen for pharmaceuticals and medical devices. Each of Marken’s depots provides drug and equipment distribution solutions including pick & pack, re-labelling services and reverse logistics.
