Nagel-Group builds €19m logistics centre

Kabelsketal, Germany: Nagel-Group has started work on a new logistics centre in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.

The logistics centre, which will be built on a 60,000m2 plot, includes different temperature zones and is being planned and built by British real estate investor and project developer Helios Europe in partnership with EPISO, a Luxembourg domiciled investment fund.

The site location in Kabelsketal continues Nagel-Group’s investment in the area where it opened its first facility in 1992.  The new building takes into account the growing sector of contract logistics.  Tobias Nagel, a Nagel-Group partner, said: “Foodstuffs require short channels.  That is why this region has enormously gained in attractiveness due to the eastward expansion of the EU and thanks to the excellent infrastructure for our European logistics network.

“The expansion confirms our choice of location in Kabelsketal.  We are growing together with the region.”

The project was supported by Saxony-Anhalt Investment and Marketing Corporation.
