Welwyn Garden City, UK: Funnybones Foodservice takes delivery of its second batch of five new Daf 7.5tonne multi-temperature vehicles next week.
The first six trucks arrived mid November from Petit Forrestier and are based at its Welwyn Garden City depot. The second batch will operate from Heywood in Lancashire servicing the north of England.
The vehicles have Carrier Supra 550 freezer units with Lacapitainne bodies, and provide better fuel economy and greater reliability on previous freezer units says Russell Avery, transport co-ordinator at Grace Foods UK parent company of Funnybones Foodservice. It imports and distributes multi-temperature American, Mexican, Mediterranean, Spanish and Cajun foods to caterers.
The vehicles feature a livery that promotes the business “showing off some of the fantastic products within the Funnybones catalogue,” he says.
Grace Foods UK supplies speciality and world food brands to the retail, wholesale and foodservice sectors in Europe. It operates an 11,000 sq metre distribution site with ambient, chilled and frozen storage.
