New pharma cold chain directive on way

Brussels, Belgium: A new European directive on the distribution of pharmaceutical cold chain products is expected to be published at the end of the year, according to the European Cold Storage and Logistics Association (ECSLA).

The directive “European guideline on risk management for temperature-controlled distribution” outlines ways to minimise risks that can arise in the transport, storage, or handling of drugs that should not be exposed to temperatures lower or higher than 2 to 8 degrees Celsius.
