Paris, France: Danone Romania and Norbert Dentressangle Romania have joined forces to create NDL Frigo Logistics to serve the Romanian chilled goods logistics market.
NDL Frigo Logistics is a joint venture between Danone PDPA and Norbert Dentressangle Romania and will benefit from an in-depth knowledge of the Romanian logistics market and a national distribution network covering 20,000 points of sale, managed by a team of qualified Romanian logisticians and supported by state-of-the-art IT systems the new company says in a statement.
Danone PDPA supplies fresh dairy products including yoghurts and milk-based desserts in Romania. “The company’s established chilled distribution infrastructure combined with the strong logistics expertise of Norbert Dentressangle Romania will allow NDL Frigo Logistics to offer efficient, cost-effective storage and distribution solutions to chilled food manufacturers and retailers throughout Romania,” the company says.
Jean-Claude Bernaben, general manager of NDL Frigo Logistics, said: “This partnership is in line with both companies’ strategic thinking and offers development opportunities for both Danone and Norbert Dentressangle.
“Our main objective is to become market leader in chilled goods logistics in the Romanian market, through the provision of high quality logistics and distribution services at a national level.”
