Norbert Dentressangle buys Belgian logistics operator

Antwerp, Belgium: Norbert Dentressangle has acquired the ambient and temperature-controlled warehousing and general cargo freight forwarding activities of Belgian logistics company, Nova Natie.

The business turned over €40m in 2011. It operates 120,000sq metres of warehousing mostly at Antwerp and a smaller site at  Schipol Airport in the Netherlands.

Norbert said the acquisition “significantly strengthened its logistics business in Belgium” and it now employs more than 1,000 staff, operates around 230,000sq metres of warehousing and a fleet of 200 vehicles. It expects the Belgian operation to generate annual revenues of  €120m.
