Whitchurch, UK: Planning authorities have given the go-ahead to expansion plans at Grocontinental. It has received permission to extend its existing storage and distribution warehouse at the town’s business park.
The application received more than 60 objections from local residents fearful about increased truck movements. However, expansion will allow Grocontinental, one of Shropshire’s biggest employers, to protect 250 jobs and create 20 more the company says.
