A tractor with a trailer carrying 1,550 cases weighing 31,000-pounds (14-tonnes) of 31/40 Victory Seafood brand easy-peel shrimp left Preferred’s premises on 31 May 31 due to deliver on 7 June to a cold storage facility in Gouldsboro, Pennsylvania.
Network Commodities notified Preferred Freezer Services that the truck carrying the load went missing and notified California police.
Each 20-pound case of farm-raised shrimp from Thailand contains ten, 2-pound bags inside the master box. The Preferred lot numbers issued to this product are 75192F and 72734F. The lot number is stamped on each case for traceability.
