Phoenix, AZ, US: Roadrunner Transportation Systems has acquired Phoenix-based truckload carrier Direct Connection Transportation for about $1.3 million.
“The DCT acquisition enhances our truckload service offering in the Southwest region due to its concentration in temperature-controlled products,” says Roadrunner chief executive Mark DiBlasi.
Last year, Direct Connection generated about $8m in revenue, Roadrunner said.
Roadrunner is ranked number 32 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of US and Canadian for-hire carriers.
