Valencia, Spain: French temperature-controlled logistics provider Stef last month purchased Friomerk, which owns a 75,000m3 refrigerated warehouse in Merca-Valencia, Spain.
The warehouse is located near the port and has 75,000 m3 frozen and 2,000 m² of chill space, and 21 loading bays. In June Stef will transfer its transport business, presently run from a rented facility, to the Friomerk site.
In 2011 Stef, which operates in Belgium, France, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, UK and Tunisia, reported turnover in the Iberian peninsula of €183.7m, up 9.5% on the previous year. Group turnover for 2011 was €2,300m, up 11.8% on 2010.
