Hanover, Germany: A symposium on CO2 reduction in temperature-regulated transport takes place nest week at the IAA Hanover truck show.
Entitled “The yet untapped potential of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in temperature-controlled transport”, the symposium includes a panel discussion and is organised by the VDA jointly with Transfrigoroute and will showcase measures for decreasing the CO2 output from refrigerated transport.
There will be a lecture on alternative propulsion technologies in transportation refrigeration given by Dr Manfred Burke and Peter Grosskopf, of Grosskopf GmbH. Matthias Bohn, of the Linde Group, will the speak about indirect nitrogen refrigeration – a safe, low-noise alternative in the transportation of foods. “Large fuel cost savings and CO2 reductions by means of aerodynamic add-ons for trailers” will be the subject covered by Dr Gandert Van Raemdonck of Ephicas.
The symposium will take place from 10.00 am to 12.30 pm on Tuesday, 25 September in Room 15/16 of the Convention Center on the Hannover trade show grounds. Attendance is free of charge.
