US firm on hunt for third cold storage site in Pennsylvania

Richland, PA, US: United States Cold Storage is looking for a third temperature-controlled distribution centre in Pennsylvania and has put forward plans for a site in  Richland, according to PhillyBurbs.com.

The Richland facility would be designed to store products at temperatures between 48 degrees and minus 20 degrees.

However, USCS is considering several possible locations to build another warehouse in Pennsylvania. The company already operates in Bethlehem and Hazleton.

USCS, a wholly owned subsidiary of the UK and Hong Kong-based Swire, offers refrigerated storage and logistics services, mostly for food and beverage products.
