Volvo launches its FH on the web

Göteborg, Sweden: Volvo Trucks is launching its new FH truck range with a webcast production tomorrow at 19.00GMT.

The launch of the a new version of its Volvo FH series, the company’s best-selling truck model, will be broadcast live on the Internet, giving everyone the chance to get an early look at the new truck, Volvo says.

“With modern technology and simultaneous events in many different countries, we are giving everyone the opportunity to participate in the launch. As far as we know nothing like this has ever been done before,” says Claes Nilsson, president Volvo Truck Corporation.

2,000 people will come to the Scandinavium Arena in Gothenburg for the launch with another 4,000 people taking part in parallel events in Madrid, Birmingham, Paris, Rotterdam and Brussels.

The live broadcast will be shown at all the events and on the online launch site : www.volvotrucks.com/fh.

The truck is a development of Volvo Trucks’ most popular model – the Volvo FH – and has a large number of new features. One of the most important of these is significantly improved handling.
