24th European Cold Chain Conference programme

London, UK: The Global Cold Chain Alliance has unveiled the programme of its 24th European Cold Chain Conference, scheduled on 1-3 June as a virtual event.

This year, the virtual conference includes: the latest trends and innovation in automation as a means to compensate for labour shortages and reduced investment risk for SMEs; sustainability and transportation electrification; cybersecurity as a very existing and current business risk; new developments in refrigerants and alternatives for the future; cold chain customer trends and outlook; and Brexit and the challenges to prepare for by 2022.

The 24th European Cold Chain Conference will also host GCCA’s 2021 Europe Future Leader Award, a competition that recognizes outstanding young professionals in the European cold storage industry. Applications are now open.

Additionally, the conference will offer exclusive networking opportunities during the Cold Chain Café sessions. This roundtable discussion component of the conference will enable attendees to engage in dialogue and share ideas with their peers in an informal atmosphere. A Cold Chain Café session will be offered each day of the conference programme.

Scheduled over three days at the convenient pace of one 90-minute session a day, the virtual European conference provides cold chain professionals with a flexible way to combine business and development time with industry colleagues from across Europe.
