Preston, Lancashire, UK: Temperature controlled distribution provider, Harrisons Transport has added eight new Volvo FH 4×2 tractor units to its fleet.
Supplied by Thomas Hardie Commercials, the new Volvos are finished in Harrisons red and blue livery, with colour matching side skirts and full roof and side air deflector kits.
The 460hp FHs have been specified for fuel efficiency and feature the latest I-See Predictive Cruise Control and I-Shift gearbox with Long Haul software.
Harrisons will also be using Dyna fleet, Volvo’s Fleet Management System, to assist with fuel reporting and tachograph analysis.
To safeguard maximum uptime the new trucks are all supplied with full Gold Service Contract s and maintenance will be carried out at the Preston depot of Thomas Hardie Commercials.
Harrisons Globetrotter XL cabs have single bed living packages which include an under bunk fridge/freezer and rear shelf mounted microwave oven.
