Fowler Welch stays with Bandvulc for tyres

Spalding, UK: Fowler Welch has renewed its tyre contract with Continental Tyres and its subsidiary Bandvulc for all tyres on all 450 trucks and 750 temperature-controlled trailers for a further three years.

The new tyre contract sees Continental tyres specified on new vehicles with a mix of Continental and Bandvulc retreaded tyres fitted at replacement.  Tyre management and roadside breakdown support is included.

Continental Hybrid HS3 tyres will be specified on new trucks for steer and lift axles, paired with Continental Hybrid HD3 tyres on the drive axle and Continental Hybrid HT3 on the trailers.

Fowler Welch replacement tyre policy will use Continental Hybrid HS3 tyres fitted on the steer and lift axles, with Bandvulc BD08 tyres for replacement on drive axles, and Bandvulc B2K on the trailers.
The contract renewal follows a Fowler Welch trial of Continental and Bandvulc fuel-efficient tyres at Millbrook Proving Ground in Autumn 2019.
