Candidates wanted for new GCCA European Logistics Council

Arlington, Virginia, USA: The Global Cold Chain Alliance is launching a re-branded leadership group for European members, the European Logistics Council.

Revamped from the existing GCCA European Advisory Committee, the new council will enable a more agile structure while empowering more warehouse and transportation operator members in Europe.

“The council will serve the temperature-controlled logistics sector to provide objective, insightful guidance and act as a sounding advisory board to disseminate knowledge and promote best-practices in the region.

“The council will contribute their experience, influence, and understanding of the industry in an effort to enhance and develop relevant member resources, services and education for cold chain professionals in Europe. Also, the Council will support the development of new partnerships linking all aspects of the European cold chain industry and fostering local communities, as well as the development of future leaders in the global organization,” the GCCA says.

The council is now recruiting candidates from cold store and transportation companies, who demonstrate leadership, influence, and professional accomplishment within the European temperature-controlled industry to fill open positions.

“Candidates should exhibit a deep affinity for the industry, actively participate in GCCA events and programmes, and support GCCA’s mission and vision. We welcome diversity in representation of the various segments of the cold chain operations, company size and business models. Elected members shall commit to serving a two-year term as member ‘at large’, and will have an opportunity to walk their way up to the vice chair and chair positions,” the GCCA says.
