London, UK: Prime minister Boris Johnson warned today that businesses and hauliers should get ready for a no-deal Brexit.
In a statement Johnson said that he wanted a “Canada-style” deal but he has concluded that the UK should get ready for an “Australia-style” outcome.
The UK can prosper mightily without a deal, he told Sky and BBC News. He said that he had reached his conclusion after hearing the latest discussions from the EU summit.
He said that the EU wanted to control the UK in a way that was unacceptable.
Johnson said that it was clear from the summit that, unless there was “some fundamental change of approach”, they (EU) would not give the UK what it wants.
