Renault’s electric trucks take Motor Transport Technical Excellence Award

London, UK: The electric Renault Trucks ZE range has won the Motor Transport Technical Excellence Award.

The judges said that Renault Trucks gave an insight into the future of sustainable transport for operators looking for proven, mainstream ways to address the net-zero challenge. Judges also liked that the winner already has vehicles in operation in the UK.

Carlos Rodrigues, managing director, Renault Trucks UK & Ireland said: “Renault Trucks has championed the zero emission journey for the UK transport industry, so to be recognised with the Motor Transport Technical Excellence Award for our ZE range is hugely exciting. The move to zero carbon solutions is the single most significant change in our industry and will benefit everyone in society.”

“For Renault Trucks to be recognised, not just for the technical excellence of our Master ZE and D ZE models, but also our collaborative approach to the transformation is very satisfying. We hope this award will be a springboard to many operators’ move to a more sustainable future – starting today!”
Renault says that 10% of its sales of vehicles over 12 will be electric by the end of 2025, rising to 35% in 2030 and by 2040, all its vehicle ranges will be 100% fossil-free.
