Barendrecht, Netherlands: Refrigerated Trailer Rentals Holland has upgraded its trailer fleet with 100 Thermo King Advancer A-Series fridges with ThermoKare fleet monitoring.
RTR offers short and long-term rental of reefers in the Benelux, Germany and the United Kingdom.
It opted for Thermo King Advancers after comparing various fridges to find the best for fuel and operational efficiency.
Wilbert de Graaff at RTR said: “We decided to invest in the Thermo King Advancer units as they give our customers the advantage of the best fuel efficiency and refrigeration capacity on the market and contribute to lowering their carbon footprint.”
“We want our customers to feel that by renting our trailers, they are receiving a very high standard equipment, specified with all the options they need to protect their cargo. By implementing the ThermoKare 24/7 Fleet Monitoring we take a step further and give our customers not just the technology, but the peace of mind that the condition in which their cargo travels is always monitored and controlled by true experts,” de Graaff said.
Alain van Schaik, key strategic account manager at Thermo King, said: “We know well that the cost of fuel impacts every transporter’s operations. We designed Advancer to address this and redefine the fuel efficiency of trailer refrigeration reaching up to 30% better fuel efficiency and up to 40% quicker pull down than the market average.”
“They are also the first units on the market that to give complete transparency of fuel levels and fuel consumption. The fuel consumption data are recorded, displayed, and made available remotely via telematics,” van Schaik said.
“With the new ThermoKare 24/7 Fleet Monitoring we leverage our units’ two-way communication capabilities and pair the real time data analytics with Thermo King experts, who monitor and actively help operators if a problem arises. This is more than just an alarm that notifies the fleet manager about a problem with the cargo. We’ve combined the technology, knowledge, and service infrastructure to take this burden of their shoulders and back them up throughout every step of their cargo’s journey,” van Schaik said.
