Burnley, UK: CoolKit has started work to upgrade AAH Pharmaceuticals’ 950 reefer van fleet.
CoolKit has expanded its team and added additional shifts to fulfil the additional production demand of 20 converted Ford Transit vehicles per week for AAH.
Rupert Gatty, chief executive, CoolKit, said: “AAH is a long-standing customer of CoolKit. We worked closely with AAH for many years on the development and production of their previous van. We are proud to have retained their business, replacing the entire fleet we provided from 2016.
“The new vans are a giant leap in performance and efficiency, setting new standards in payload, temperature control, and GDP compliance.
“New safety features to assist driver and pedestrian safety include sensors, audible warnings, grab straps and a rear step at the rear doors.”
“New standards have also been set in orchestrating the complex supply chain required for these advanced products – collaborating with numerous other chosen partners including Thermo King and their dealer Thermo King Northern, Microlise, Ford Motor Company and Arval.”
Darren Young, head of fleet, AAH, said: “The multi-stage rollout of our newly enhanced vans supports AAH’s commitment to creating a sustainable and GDP-compliant future for all.
“The vehicles will contribute significantly to the reduction of carbon emissions, whilst increasing the safety of our drivers.”
AAH’s fleet management team can track various performance aspects including temperature on board, GPS location, and driver behaviour, in order to improve fleet performance.
