London, UK: The New Year beckons and there is a universal hope that it will bring some respite from the coronavirus pandemic that has blighted the past two years.
The pandemic frustrated what would have been celebratory years for many companies. Last year, Krone recorded its 50th year producing its Cool Liner trailer and made the millionth chassis.
But the company is optimistic. Bernhard Brüggen, chief executive, Krone Commercial Vehicle Group, said: Our order backlog already extends into 2023. We are currently exploring all possibilities to further increase our capacities in the coming year.“
Frank Albers, managing director, sales and marketing, sees exciting prospects for 2022: “For Krone, the focus is particularly on the IAA Transportation, which will take place in Hanover in September. Here we will present our forward-looking innovations on the topics of digitalisation, electrification and sustainability on a large scale and are already looking forward to the direct exchange with our customers.“
Global Cold Chain News, now part of the Cold Chain Federation, is optimistic about the future too, and looks forward to a successful year reporting the challenges and successes of our vital industry.
