Bradford, UK: Pizza cheese and frozen chicken product supplier, CK Foods, has taken delivery of its first Schmitz Cargobull trailer – an S.KO Cool Smart reefer for chilled and frozen food transport.
The new reefer will operate with two Volvo FH tractors and joins a fleet of eight 26-tonne rigids and three trailers. The trailer has Schmitz Cargobull’s telematics.

The trailer has a Carrier Transicold fridge working with Schmitz’s new air distribution system designed to achieve better air dritribiution within the trailer.
“Our business is growing and we needed a trailer that would be up to the job and able to meet our busy schedule. The trailer’s high payload is an added bonus as it has reduced the number of trips my drivers have to take, which in turn reduces our costs,” Bhamji said.
There is a full-service contract from Schmitz Cargobull on the trailer wich is expected to operate for between five and seven days a week for 10 years.
CK Foods was set up 21 years ago and has two manufacturing sites, Hull and Bradford.
