Stockholm, Sweden: Envirotainer and Swiss WorldCargo have made the first commercial shipment using the Envirotainer’s temperature-controlled air freight containers.
The contasiner is designed for pharmaceuitals and the first consignment was handled by Swiss WorldCargo
The shipment started in Basel, Switzerland, landing at JFK in the US and comprised three Releye RAP units and two RAP E2 units.
Live monitoring allowed checks through the whole journey by Envirotainer’s new Control Tower service which is included in all Releye leases.
The Releye RAP is a five-pallet system, the largest of the new generation of Releye containers, taht meet the requirements in pharmaceutical air freight. The integrated live monitoring enables insight into product condition, location, and progress of the shipment.
The Releye RAP is the second in a family of advanced temperature-controlled air freight containers that Envirotainer is developing. It joins the three-pallet Releye RLP launched in 2021.
