Le Shuttle celebrates 33 millionth truck crossed the Channel

Folkestone, UK: Eurotunnel Le Shuttle Freight took its 33 millionth truck across the Channel via rail.

Since 1994, approximately 860 million tonnes of goods have been transported via the service.
 
The driver crowned number 33m works for the Nordfrost, the biggest German frozen and chilled food transporter operating in the UK, supplying fresh food to leading UK such as Aldi and Lidl.
 
Since 1 January 2022, the Shuttle has transported over 767,000 trucks and recorded its sixth successive month of growth in June 2022 with a 9% increase, transporting 125,672 trucks via the service compared to June 2021.
 
Christian Dufermont, freight commercial director, Eurotunnel Le Shuttle Freight said: “Since 1994, we have seen a growing appetite for our service and are always looking at ways we continually improve efficiency and speed.
