Gateshead, UK: JR Holland, a food wholesaler, has taken three new Mercedes vans and four 7.2 tonne Ivecos, all with Solomon Commercials’ Slipstream bodies.
The new 3.5 tonne vans use Solomon Commercials’ Slipstream bodies, to a bespoke JR Holland design. The bodies provide good aerodynamic properties and use an undermounted GAH fridge that increases the payload.
The four 7.2 tonne Ivecos have a 4.9m body with triple doors with a Thermo King V500 fridge.
John Holland, director, said: “We are incredibly pleased with the new vehicles and the way the team at Solomon designed the bodies to help us reduce fuel usage and add a tonne payload.
“It results in us being able to carry more while reducing the number of deliveries but increasing efficiencies. It’s a win-win solution for us.”
The Mercedes vehicles were supplied by Bell Truck and Van in Newcastle and the Ivecos by North East Truck and Van.
