London, UK: There is an urgent need for drastic improvement in driver faciltiies, says David Wells, chief executive,Logistics UK.
He said it was time for the government to deliver long promised solutions. Well was speaking at a Transport Focus event held at the Hollies Truckstop in Cannock.
“HGV drivers are crucial for keeping the country moving and ensuring our supply chains remain protected, yet they face a significant lack of hygiene and rest facilities compared with other industries,” Well said.
Logistics UK hopes the Transport Focus event, which it runs in partnership with Snap and Certas Energy, will highlight the struggles and challenges HGV drivers experience.
