London, UK: A one-day conference, Supply Chain Resilience, is being staged by Logistics UK on 23 March.
The event, at the America Square Conference Centre, London, is aimed at industry leaders. Alan McKinnon, professor of logistics, Kuhne Logistics University is the keynote speaker. The programme will include presentations and debate from other leading industry experts and examine previous lessons learned as well as identifying future issues which could affect the efficacy of the UK’s supply chain, Logistics UK says.
“Supply chain resilience is an issue which has risen to the top of many business leaders’ concerns, following a range of disruptions over the past few years,” Phil Roe, president Logistics UK, said. “To ensure the continuity of operations, it is vital that logistics leaders consider all potential events that threaten their operations, as well as develop solutions to challenge disruption.
“There is much that can be done to ensure goods keep flowing, from new technologies and creating an ethical, environmentally friendly supply chain to ensuring the availability of the right, highly skilled workforce across all modes. Our line-up of thought-leaders in resilience, including representatives of DfT, Liverpool Freeport, TechUK, and Wincanton, will challenge thinking and provide solutions to ensure ongoing connectivity for businesses across our sector.”
