Arlington, Virginia, USA: Shane Brennan will join the Global Cold Chain Alliance as senior vice president with responsibility for Global Communications this month.
The new role within the senior leadership team is a signal of GCCA’s commitment to growing its impact across the fast-growing cold chain markets in Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia, the organisation says. Brennan previously lead the UK’s Cold Chain Federation.

Matt Ott, president, Global Cold Chain Alliance, said: “Shane brings extensive experience of generating positive coverage of the cold chain in high value media and has delivered proven results in advocacy campaigns in UK and Europe. He will help us to present our message to more people in new ways, growing our global community and empowering them to influence the industry as well as regulators and policy decision-makers that have the power to help or harm cold chain business.
Brennan, incoming senior vice president of global communications, said: “I am delighted to join the team. I look forward to working with Matt, the wider staff team and the GCCA, GCCF, and CEBA boards to increase the reach and relevance of our messaging, programmes and community to more people and businesses across the world.”
Phil Pluck takes over Brennan’s role as chief executive of the UK’s Cold Chain Federation.
